FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT MY NENDROID CHIBI FIGURES!

Every day people ask me about my adorable little chibi's I use in my photography shots. So, to make it easy on all of us, I made this lil' section HERE! Now all your questions, concerns, and "OMG THEY'RE SO CUTE"'s are answered heeereee~~<3 Hope you find this guide helpful, poyoes -w-

#1: Q: WHERE DID YOU GET THEM??

A:This is probably my most-asked question! I bought mine at a site called poweranime.com, it is really reliable and usually has very, very fast shipping. However, if you use GOOGLE and search 'DEATH NOTE LIGHT YAGAMI/L LAWLIET NENDROID CHIBI FIGURE', you are sure to find several other sites.

The company that made them is called the 'GOOD SMILE COMPANY,' so that may help your search as well.

Search around E-bay, too--they have good prices. Which leads to the next question.

#2: Q: HOW MUCH DO THEY COST?

A: Om nom nom. This kinda hurts, seeing as I bought mine at a very expensive price. Separately, My Light and L set me back about $42.00 AMERICAN DOLLARS. -shot- That means together they were over $80.00 together. Dayum, right?! Especially for something the size of your fist. (Scale HERE--> [link] )
HOWEVER if you search around GOOGLE and E-BAY, I have known people who have bought them for as low as $25.00.

COMPARING PRICES AND SEARCH ENGINES ARE YOUR FRIENDS.

USE THEM.

#3: Q: DO THEY HAVE (INSERT CHARACTER NAME HERE)?

A: Currently speaking, concerning Death Note; they have L, LIGHT, MISA, and RYUK. They also have Christmas cosplay versions of Light and L, as a Santa Clause and a reindeer (respectively.) They do not have some of our favorites, such as Mello, Matt, or Near YET.

HOWEVER !!!

There ARE customly (SP?) made figures out there. I have seen people create Matt out of Light with a good paint job and some accessories. You can also make a B (Beyond Birthday) out of an L figure with some red paint. You can make these yourself or find them on E-bay.

***IF YOU ARE LIKE ME, (Meaning bad at crafty things) You might want to have someone good at painting figures help you. You do not want to mess up a toy that cost you as much as 42 bucks. Trust me.

Aside from Death Note, the Nendroid (or Nendo-iro line) from the Good Smile company has characters from other anime, including Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu, Lucky Star, and more.

--WARNING--

recently informed me of this. A lot of the chibis on E-Bay are KNOCKOFFS. Meaning CHEAP, POORLY-MADE FAKES. Their colors are often duller, too. Sometimes you have to choose quality over less $$. Be sure to buy from people with high seller ratings and check their comments! And--obviously--look at the toy itself through pictures. If it's a bad picture or NO picture, look elsewhere.

#4: Q: HOW COME THEIR FACES CHANGE IN EVERY PICTURE? DO YOU HAVE LIKE 4 DIFFERENT LIGHT/L CHIBIS??!!

A: Haha, no. The great thing about the nendroid line is that THEY ARE LIKE SO MANY DIFFERENT TOYS IN ONE. They come with a variety of interchangeable faces, expressions, bodies, and accessories. My L even came with a chair. Light came with a tiny pair of handcuffs.
You can change your chibis every day to suit your fancy, and the variety of poses and expressions make for great photo ops--especially if you like to take photos of your toys.

#5: Q: ARE THEY FRAGILE/BREAKABLE?

A: YES. These are not toys to give your six year old son who likes to blow stuff up. They don't break per say, but their parts are easily lost (teeny little arms and especially Light's pens) and several people say that the chain that L came with breaks like THAT.

I suggest keeping a special little box for the excess parts, and setting your chibis in a place where they will not fall easily or get bumped.

THEY HAVE FREAKING HUGE HEADS.

Even the stands you see them coming with rarely hold them up. This causes for strategic posing (I usually have L sitting down with Light leaning on his chair for display.)
When taking pictures, I almost always have a finger holding them up, or have them lean on something. I usually crop that out.

I also had to fiddle with L's necks/head a little, to get them to stop breaking. Light's was okay, though. Please send me a note for any questions about that, if you have a similar problem.

At first, their face-changing or arm-changing might be... stiff. Don't worry about breaking them, you may have to yank kind of hard for the first few changes. It gets easier after a while. Just don't, you know; break them.

#6: Q: ARE THEY WORTH ALL THE MONEY?

A: If you are a hard-core figure junkie (like me) or Death Note otaku (like me) then yes. But a lot of people don't want to spend that kind of money on a toy. There's always holidays and birthdays! Leave Santa a hint ;D Some people spend their money on shoes, others on golf... I collect anime toys. I love my chibis <3 They are cute, fun, look good on my desk; and leave me with hours of entertainment. If you are a child at heart, or just love all things 'kawaii,' I would defenitly push you to buy these little guys.
